School Uniform

Holcombe Grammar School Uniform

All students must arrive in School wearing their full school uniform, which can be found below. Jumpers should be plain and no hoodies are permitted.

A reminder that if students wish to wear a tracksuit over the top of their PE kit when in lessons (which may be unlikely as the weather warms up), then it must be the official Holcombe tracksuit. No other tracksuits will be allowed when we return, so if students do not have our tracksuit they will complete PE lessons in the PE kit only.

All students will need to hand in their old rewards cards on the first day of term. They will then be issued with their new ones, which must be carried at all times.

  • Grey Holcombe Grammar School blazer with school badge
  • Holcombe Grammar School tie
  • School kilt-styled skirt as an alternative to trousers.

Compulsory items - Purchased from uniform supplier or Highstreet

  • Shirt – plain white long or short sleeved
  • Charcoal grey/black tailored trousers – Straight or Slim cut (not skinny)
  • Plain black socks or black opaque tights
  • Shoes – plain black formal shoes (no boots, canvas shoes, branded shoes or trainers allowed)

Optional items - Must follow expectation set.

  • Plain dark grey/black v-neck jumper
  • Coat (when required) in a plain, dark colour (no logos)

Head covering (when worn, this is to be for religious reasons only and prearranged)

PE Kit

Compulsory items - Purchased from uniform supplier

  • Holcombe PE top (short sleeves) with logo

Compulsory items - Purchased from uniform supplier or Highstreet

  • Plain black PE short with no (or very small) logo
  • Plain black skort worn as an alternative to shorts
  • Plain black long sleeved rugby top
  • Long black socks (outdoors) or white socks (indoors)
  • Trainers (indoor) and Football/rugby boots (with plastic or rubber studs)
  • Shin Pads

Optional items - Must follow expectation set.

  • Plain black tracksuit 
  • Plain black leggings - only worn under shorts or skort

Miscellaneous Equipment:

  • Black writing pens at least 3
  • Blue writing pens
  • Green writing pens
  • Coloured pencils
  • Maths set to include set square, protractor and compass
  • Calculator
  • Eraser and pencil sharpener
  • Ruler (30cm)
  • Pencil case (large enough for all the above)
  • Plain black rucksack
