External Examination Information

External examinations are subject to strict regulations and students must familiarise themselves with the following documents produced by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).

Summer 2026 Public Examinations

GCSE Exams Summer 2026

First day of public exams: Thursday 7th May 2026

Last day of public exams: Tuesday 16th June 2026

A Level Exams Summer 2026

First day of public exams: Monday 11th May 2026

Last day of public exams: Friday 26th June 2026

Please be aware that 24th June 2026 has been designated as a contingency day by the awarding bodies.  This is an additional exam date which will be used in the event of national or significant local disruption. 

All exam students should therefore ensure that they are available until 24th June 2026 should there be exceptional circumstances that require an awarding body to reschedule an examination.

The above dates are for public written exams and do not include assessments/exams such as Art and MFL speaking exams. The dates of these exams will be provided seperately.

Results Days 2026

Results will be available to exam students to collect on the following dates:
