Modern Languages in Schools Prize

Year 10 students Timi and Thomas entered the Modern Languages in schools Prize run by Lancaster University back in January. Students produced a video about the “The Importance of Languages in the Era of Google Translate”. They made a huge effort of putting together the presentation via Teams whilst at home in lockdown.

Their efforts were rewarded when they were selected for the final round. Unfortunately, they did not win but the judges have said that our students produced “A very good presentation showing strong language and digital media skills. Well done! Please pass on our thanks to your students for their hard work. Their entry was really enjoyable to judge and demonstrated inspiring levels of ability, both in terms of linguistic skills and broader digital and presentation skills.”
