MFL Competition – Building Famous European Monuments

MFL students recreated eight different famous European monuments with everyday materials they had at home. The Department received exciting entries from a great number of students – a fantastic total of seventy entries altogether were submitted. The Department would like to congratulate Edward in Year 9, who won first place, and William in Year 8,who won second place. The creativity and innovation of both students knew no bounds as they recreated the Eiffel Tower, L’Arc de Triomphe, La Sagrada Família, Las Ventas, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, The Parthenon, The Colosseum and Saint Basil’s Cathedral using many different concepts and materials to capture the architecture, including bottles, tins, baguettes and even marshmallows.
