Uniform & Equipment
Maintaining high standards of uniform is an important part of the overall aspirations at Holcombe Grammar School. Instilling high standards teaches students to comply with a dress code which will be an important workplace skill for them in later life. Most importantly, our uniform reflects our identity as a community and encourages students to take pride in themselves and their school.
All trousers should be tailored. Any other style is considered incorrect and not permitted in school.
Where to buy uniform
Uniform is available from Simmonds Ltd online at http://www.simmonds-ltd.com/
All students are expected to arrive at the Academy with the minimum equipment required for learning. Extra equipment may be required for specific lessons:
Should your child arrive to school with incorrect uniform, you will be contacted by telephone and they may be sent home. Your child’s attendance will be recorded as unauthorised. We appreciate your support in working with us to ensure that students come to school well-presented and in correct uniform. Should you have any queries please contact your child’s Head of Year
Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices
Students are permitted to bring mobile phones and other electronic devices into school at their own risk. All devices must be switched off and out of sight during the school day, unless express permission to use the device has been given by a member of staff. If a student is found to be in breach of this regulation their phone or electronic device will be removed from them and placed in the office until the end of the day. Under no circumstances will the school accept responsibility for any theft or loss.
